It’s a multi-purpose herbal remedy that deserves the moniker “medicine chest in a bottle” or “the miracle remedy.” This one product can genuinely “do it all,” whether you’re traveling, at home, or at work, when you need first aid, pain relief, or natural antibiotic activity.

What makes oregano oil a miracle remedy? It’s made with pure olive oil and oregano that’s 85 percent carvacrol, which is incredibly antibacterial. Thymol, along with 50 other antibacterial and healing chemicals, is another antiseptic that acts collectively with carvacol. As a result, there are a staggering amount of healing characteristics that can be used all over the body. Oil of Oregano has a number of advantages, including acting as a natural antibiotic and antiviral.

Oregano oil is a natural antibiotic with no known adverse effects. Antibiotics produce a variety of adverse effects, including diarrhea and immune system weakness.

In a 1/2 cup of boiling water, drop 2-3 drops. For 10 minutes, cover your head with a towel and breathe in the steam. Congestion, bronchitis, asthma, and sinusitis might all benefit from this remedy.

If you’re suffering with chest congestion, apply a few drops of Oregano Oil to your chest.

Internally: Oregano oil can be purchased as an essential oil, called Oil of Oregano. There have been numerous differing opinions on if essential oils can/should be consumed orally. When using externally it is safe to use essential oil (Oil of Oregano) and oregano oil.  I prefer not to take essential oils orally.  Fortunately, oregano oil can be made easily at home.

Ingredients

Oregano Leaves (Dried or fresh)

Olive oil (I prefer extra virgin)

Dark dropper bottle

Cheesecloth or strainer

Mason jar

Funnel (optional)

Instructions

Place oregano leaves in mason jar. If using fresh picked oregano make sure they are completely dry. You do not want any water going into your oil when preparing.

Pour olive oil into mason jar so that the oregano is completely submerged. Submerge the oregano completely with olive oil in a mason jar. Cover tightly with jar lid.

Place mason jar in a dark cabinet for 2-3 weeks (or longer) so that it will infuse. Shake the jar occasionally while stored in the cabinet.

After it has infused for 2-3 weeks, strain the contents with a cheesecloth or strainer into a dark dropper bottle. You can use a funnel to distribute the oil into the dropper bottle.

Enjoy the results of your oregano oil and use this “miracle remedy” appropriately.

KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. AVOID CONTACT WITH THE EYES. DO not use it longer than 6 weeks internally because it affects the liver when used for extended periods. You can use it topically because it will bypass the liver. If you use Oregano Essential Oil; start using a couple of drops redness and heat sensation is normal.
